Four people have been arrested following police raids in the Calcot area this morning.
Officers executed warrants at a number of properties at 9.40am as part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering.
They raided properties in North Lodge Mews, Addington Road, Lyndhurst Road, Zenith Avenue, Hatford Road, Ringwood Road, Dangaray Lodge in Calcot and a barbers shop in Oxford Road.
A 33-year-old man from Lyndhurst Road has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering and a 42-year-old man from Ringwood Road has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
A 52-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man from Hatford Road have been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Detective Inspector Nick Watts, who is leading the operation, said: “These warrants are part of an investigation into an organised crime group operating in the Reading area.
“Searches are continuing at the properties in question at this time.”
