A sponsored walk saw members of the Slough Town Supporters Trust embark on a journey through the club’s history to mark the team’s final home game of the season.
On Saturday a group of 17 walkers started the trust’s annual fundraiser at Windsor Football Club’s Stag Meadow ground where the Rebels played from 2003 to 2007.
They then made their way past more of the club’s former homes including the site of The Dolphin Stadium and Wexham Park.
Staff at the Sainsbury’s store in Farnham Road supplied the walkers with hot cross buns and tea before they took a pit-stop at the club’s new Arbour Park Community Sports Facility.
With some members of the trust joining in on the walk along the way, the 20-strong group eventually reached their final destination at Holloways Park in Beaconsfield to see the Rebels secure a 2-0 over King’s Lynn Town.
Dan Brench, a director at the Slough Town Supporters Trust, said: “It’s all really promising and we’re looking forward to getting the community involved as we move back to our home in Slough.”
Money raised from the event, which included more than £150 from a half-time bucket collection, will be split between the trust and Sebastian’s Action Trust.
