X-Factor star Ella Henderson swapped the rehearsal studio for Slough as she visited a charity that helps support families with seriously ill children.
Ella joined families at Sebastian’s Action Trusts’ Family Outreach Hub in Whitby Road to see how their Comic Relief-funded project was supporting families.
The Family Outreach Hub offers families a drop-in centre where they can get advice, emotional support and financial assistance to help care for their loved ones.
19-year-old Ella said she was inspired by the work Sebastian’s Action Trust is doing to help struggling families.
“I met a family at the Trust who were too overwhelmed to cope with their money worries. 10-year-old Reece needs a bone marrow transplant so cure a blood disorder called severe aplastic anaemia.
“His older sister Danielle is the same age as me. She quit sixth form and started work in a coffee shop when her brother got ill to help with the family’s cash flow.
“When the Trust helped the family to get their finances sorted, the relief was immense,” added Ella.
The visit took place on Monday, March 9.
