Members of the club, in Marlow Bridge Lane, were able to reopen the clubhouse in October and work on the bar, kitchen and gym is almost complete.
The club has raised most of the £2.5million for the clubhouse but still needs to find £150,000 to complete the project. Further fundraising also needs to take place in order to fund a variety of projects, including renewing boat and equipment stock.
Chris Fenton, chairman of MRC’s fundraising committee, announced he would be stepping down from the position after four years, believing fresh leadership is required.
He will continue to run events such as the gala dinner and will support the commercial development of the club.
