A sports journalist will be coming to Windsor later this month to share some anecdotes from his extensive career.
‘Blowers’, as he is known to many, has been a regular member of the Test Match Special team since 1972 and was made an OBE for his services to broadcasting in 2003.
The old Etonian’s extensive cricket commentary career is known and loved by many worldwide.
Since 1962 he has been a newspaper journalist writing for The Guardian, The Observer, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The Express.
As well as establishing himself as a commentator, on BBC Radio Four and BBC Radio Five Live extra, he has also written eight books.
His show, An evening with ‘Blowers’, will give the audience an insight into his life, with some of his finest stories from cricket, on and off the pitch.
As well as anecdotes from the world of journalism there will be through-the-keyhole tales of the glitz of celebrity life.
He not only talks about cricket but as a schoolboy, he was an exceptional cricketer too.
