A COUNCILLOR joked that a three-inch segment of the old Henley Hockey Club pitch should be framed in the mayor’s parlour at the town hall or made into a coaster.
Ian Reissmann made the remark at a council committee meeting after it had been gifted to him as a memento. He said: “I’m a firm believer in recycling and upcycling so it was good to see the old pitch going to a little bit of use.”
