81' Finally an attempt from the Magpies. Umerah crosses for Dulson whose header flies over the bar from close range. 0-2
79' Kai Yearn is replaced by Corie Andrews for Maidenhead
76' Maidenhead are doing their best to get back into this, but they're being marshalled superbly by Torquay in defence. The Gulls have given them next to nothing today. 0-2
72' GOAL TORQUAY (De Havilland OG)
That will kill off Maidenhead's challenge. Young gets to the byline and pulls a cross back that De Havilland inadvertently heads past Van Stappershoef. Surely game over.
⏱️ 72' An own goal sees United double their advantage!!!

69' Jordan Young is brought down right on the edge of the area by Ragguette who gets a yellow card. From the free kick Young goes for goal but his attempt is pushed over by Van Stappershoef! 0-1
68' Chance for Maidenhead. Much better from the home side. They work the ball to Popoola on the left who sends in a low cross that substitute Asher Yearwood gets to but his first time shot it blocked behind for a corner. That goes straight out of play for the Magpies but they showed promise there. 0-1
Attendance: 1,581
66' Corner for Torquay straight into the hands of Van Stappershoef. But of a waste from the visitors there 0-0
65' Torquay United have the lead here and are controlling this game. Maidenhead have created very little in general. The Gulls look happy to sit back a bit and hit their hosts on the break. 0-1
63' Substitution for Maidenhead. Sam Barratt is replaced by Asher Yearwood. 0-1
59' Goalscorer Dolan is replaced by Dylan Morgan. Moments after he cynically tripped Liam Dulson and prevented a Maidenhead attack. Could easily have been a second yellow in my eyes, 0-1
57' Louis Dennis is replaced by Sonny Fish. 0-1
55' Free kick for Torquay on the edge of the boxed. Young has a go but his drive smashes into the wall. They force a corner though. 0-1
Back underway at York Road. Maidenhead now attacking down the slope. They trail 1-0.
Maidenhead United 0, Torquay United 1
The Gulls gradually got on top as the half wore on and lead thanks to Callum Dolan's brilliant low strike in the 40th minute.

45' Popoola is brought down right on the edge of the box. Dan Hayfield is booked for the challenge but Kai Yearn's free kick hits the wall and that's half-time!
45' Corner for Maidenhead. Kai Yearn sends it in but Torquay clear. A huge fight then breaks out with de Havilland involved. No idea what kicked that off! 0-0
It results in a yellow card for de Havilland and for Jordan Dyer. I'm not convinced either the referee or his linesman saw what happened there as they'd have been following the ball like us.
41' Huge chance for Torquay to make it 2-0. Louis Dennis fires over the bar from fairly close in. He jumps in the air in frustration! It's all Torquay now and Maidenhead may do well to make it into the break without conceding again!
40' GOAL TORQUAY (Dolan).
Callum Dolan smashes the visitors in front with a powerful low drive from outside of the area. Van Stappershoef had no chance with that one!
⏱️40' DOLAN OPENS THE SCORING!!!

37' Torquay have just cracked another low shot wide of the post through Dolan. Maidenhead have done well to get bodies behind the ball. There have been a lot of blocked shots from the Magpies today. 0-0
34' Maidenhead have looked a threat from Raguette's balls in from the left. He's just sent in a beauty that Torquay defended really well! 0-0
30' Torquay do seem to be clicking in the final third though. They pass through the Maidenhead lines again, and Lo-Everton has a crack at goal that is blocked away. Close again for the visitors. 0-0
26' Maidenhead work an opening on the left, but the pass to Dulson is overhit, and the Maidenhead man didn't anticipate it either. You can see why both Peters and Devonshire have been saying it's not clicking in the final third. 0-0
25' Young - who has been very good so far - cuts in from the right touchline and has an attempt at goal, but again its comfortable for Maidenhead's keeper. Torquay very much shading this game now. 0-0
23' Young weaves his way past a couple of Maidenhead players before feeding the ball wide for Dolan whose low shot is easily handled by Van Stappershoef. Another decent opening for Torquay! 0-0
19' Torquay work the ball well down the right and play in Jordan Young. He skips past his man and cuts the ball back but there's no one there in yellow to turn the ball home. Maidenhead clear. You can see why Young has scored 8 goals this season, he's been lively! 0-0
16' Half chance for the Magpies. Ragguette sends in a low cross from the left that Dulson very nearly gets a touch on! 0-0
12' It's been a fairly even first half. Maidenhead have looked dangerous coming forward but Torquay have also had a couple of moments where they've stretched the home side's defence. 0-0
10' Early change for the Gulls. Injury forces Matt Worthington from the field. He'll be replaced by Dan Hayfield. 0-0
Earlier, Callum Dolan was booked for the Gulls. From the conceded free kick, Maidenhead went long to the back post with Clerima heading the ball back into the danger area, but the strikers had crept offside.
5' The Gulls force a corner over on the far side. It's cleared by De Havilland. Maidenhead break quickly through Kai Yearn, he feeds it to Robinson who slips a pass through to Umerah. Umerah checks back and plays the ball across the edge of the area to Barratt who flicks it into the path of Popoola whose cross come shot is blocked. 0-0
2' Playing towards the Canal End, Torquay work an opening for Jordan Young, but his shot past Van Stappershoef is weak and De Havilland gets back to clear the ball before it reaches the goalline. 0-0

The two teams are out at York Road. Today's visitors in yellow and black.
Josh Umerah made a scoring return to the starting line up at Totton on Saturday. His presence should give the Magpies more of an edge in attack. He, Dulson and Josh Popoola have all been in reasonable form this season.
Left back Jordon Ragguette also returned from injury at Totton and should bolster the side both in defence and attack.

Alan Devonshire called for 'more quality in the final third' when looking ahead to this clash. He wants to see a bit more from his side going forward after five matches without a win in the league. Before that though they'd won six in a row. They've been involved in several tight matches, several of which went their way during their good run and now those results appear to be going against them.

Maidenhead United welcome Torquay United to York Road this afternoon looking to halt a run of five matches in the league without a win. Four of those have been losses, including Tuesday evening's 2-1 defeat at AFC Totton.
United weren't bad in that fixture, and were the team in the ascendancy when Totton scored their winner in the 71st minute, but both manager Alan Devonshire and assistant boss Ryan Peters admitted afterwards they weren't clinical enough in the final third.
They'll be hoping for an improvement at home to the Gulls this afternoon, who themselves got back to winning ways on Wednesday night with a 3-1 victory over Farnborough away from home. That lifted the visitors back into the play-off places in sixth. Before that they were beaten by Dorking Wanderers and leaders Hornchurch in consecutive matches.
