THE Watermill Theatre in Bagnor, in collaboration with Theatre by the Lake, has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Lark Rise to Candleford.
Written by Tamsin Kennard and based on the book by Flora Thompson, it is the tale of Laura, a girl who is growing up in the countryside hamlet of Lark Rise.
Nestled in a thatched cottage with a loving family, nevertheless Laura begins to want something more from life. When she finally makes the long-awaited journey to the market town of Candleford, Laura embarks on a new path.
The production stars Jessica Temple as Laura, Rosalind Ford as Dorcas Lane, Christopher Glover as Father and Uncle John, Zrey Sholapurkar as Godfrey Parish, Rosalind Steele as Mother and Alex Wilson as Edmund.
Lark Rise to Candleford is at the Watermill Theatre from Friday, February 6 to Saturday, March 14. For more information, visit www.watermill.org.uk
