More than five hundred drones are set to bring cosmic animal adventures to life on Easter weekend in a ‘Space Safari’ narrated by TV star Michaela Strachan.
At this Space Safari, visitors will hear an ‘awe-inspiring tale’ of courage, love and self-belief, based on an ancient African fable.
More than 500 flying drones will help bring the story to life, delivering an ‘immersive, multisensory sound and light experience.’
Using a blend of AI and drone-swarm technology, the aerial artistry will depict giant animals to illustrate the story.
Accompanying this spectacle will be narration by the popular presenter and naturalist Michaela Strachan, best known for Springwatch, Autumnwatch and The Really Wild Show.

She says to expect a ‘fabulous story from the heart of Africa to the edge of the universe’, with ‘majestic animals and a world beyond imagination.’
Unlike firework displays, Space Safari is a dog-friendly place. There is a designated area for dogs where the soundtrack volume will be lower.
Lumina Drones, which is putting on the event, envisioned changing the way people unite for live experiences and providing an alternative to fireworks – pollution-free aerial entertainment that does not scare or harm wildlife.
They came up with the Space Safari concept a year ago and spent nine months developing the drone show including soundtrack and script.
Space Safari is set to light up the Windsor skies for the first time on Saturday, April 19 at Royal Windsor Racecourse. Doors open at 5pm and drones take flight from 8.30pm to 9pm.
Ahead of the main show, guests can enjoy fairground rides, VR gaming concessions and food and drink from more than 20 local traders.
Tickets start at £14.50 (plus booking fee) for children and £18 for adults. Tickets can be bought here. Under threes enter for free.
