A Slough man has been charged with attempted murder after a Thames Valley Police officer suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit and run.
Simranjit Kajla, 28, of Lydford Avenue, has also been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without vehicle insurance.
PC Christopher Miller suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a white BMW - which did not stop at the scene - in B416 Bells Hill, Stoke Poges on Thursday evening (May 22).
PC Miller remains in hospital in a critical condition while Kajila is set to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court today (May 27).
Four people, all from Slough, were arrested in connection with the crash: three men, aged 28, 38 and 43; and a 37-year-old woman.
Police said the vehicle suspected of being used had been recovered.
