Firefighters at the scene in Cox Green.
An electrical fire in a Maidenhead home sparked a more than two-hour firefighter response yesterday afternoon (Monday, June 23).
Fire engines from Maidenhead and Slough fire stations were dispatched to tackle the fire in the ground floor of the home in Kelsey Close, Cox Green, at around 12.50pm.
Four firefighters used breathing apparatus, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers and a hose reel to extinguish the flames. Smoke was then cleared from the building using a ventilation fan.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue (RBFRS) said firefighters were on scene for around two hours and 13 minutes
Firefighters from Windsor Fire Station returned to the scene to reinspect the property later that day.
