Today the Etsy spotlight will shine on Ayca Hoser, 36 of Istanbul.
Former deputy general manager of a chemical company, confessed Etsy-addict Ayca created her Etsy store - Couture by Ayca - earlier this year.
At Couture by Ayca she sells handmade garlands and hoop art. Ayca's eye-catching garlands were inspired by her four-year-old daughter Oyku's drawings of geometrical patterns.
When little Oyku completes a drawing she shouts 'birthday party' and associates them with celebrations. On a family trip to a museum, Oyku, when seeing the colourful stained glass shouted 'birthday party' and thus began Ayca's inspirtation sparked out of her daughter's love of celebrating to make garlands that can be used for celebrations or simply to beautify and add colour to the home at any time of year.
Ayca believes her creations to be a blend of cultures. Using the rich colours and shapes from Turkey she combines these ideas with the vintage home decor of the garland. With millions of ideas in her head, Ayca is working hard to bring these to life at her Etsy store.
Ayca's whimsical garlands will be hard to resist, and so if you need an excuse to buy one and a place to put them, she has got some great tips as to where you can use her elegant garlands to beautify your home all year;
For celebrations, Ayca's garlands could be used for weddings, birthdays and baby showers. They can be used in gift wrapping, as a cake wrap or to decorate scrapbooking pages.
