A charity fundraiser is hoping he won't get the rub of the green when he dons a Borat-style mankini for a gruelling physical challenge.
Chris Buggy, the manager of Dinton Pastures Country Park, will wear the distinctive lime-green outfit when he embarks on a 3km combined swim and run challenge at the site on Saturday, May 3.
The Wokingham Borough Council-run site is set to officially open a new £500,000 adventure play area the same day.
The decision to make a splash at the Uber Swim event was made by Chris in support of Cancer Research UK after a colleague was diagnosed with the illness.
He will swim in the River Loddon, Black Swan Lake and White Swan Lake at Dinton Pastures and has issued an open invitation for others to join him.
The event is being organised by the Dinton Activity Centre in partnership with Barnes Fitness.
Chris, who is swimming five evenings a week as part of his training, said: "I have committed to this challenge to support a cause that is close to all of our hearts.
"The challenge is difficult for me but it’s nothing compared to what sufferers go through."
He added: "I hope we can pull together and have some fun and donate to this fantastic charity.
"On a separate note, I am available for modelling on a commission basis although my portfolio is limited to swimwear shots!"
He is being backed by the Mayor of Wokingham, Cllr UllaKarin Clark (ok).
"His choice of swimming attire in a flattering shade of green is certainly original and I wish him every success," she said.
"I will certainly be cheering him on."
The park in Sandford Lane will also host a 5km and 10km run series and two aquathlons this summer.
