Stargazing students at Burnham Grammar School were able to get a daylight glimpse into the heavens with help from the Maidenhead Astronomical Society.
The group brought a range of telescopic gear for a moon watch on Monday, March 10, outside the school in Hogfair Lane.
Pupils were provided a look at an early-rising gibbous moon on a sunny day.
"It was great to see it all in real life rather than out of a text book," said 16-year-old, Rohan Rishiraj.
"It brought a new dimension to the experience."
They were also able to safely stare at the sun using filtering equipment.
"It's wonderful to have the knowledge and equipment of the experts and we thank Maidenhead Astrological Society for inspiring our students," said head of science, John Hudson.
