Young scientists at Baylis Court School in Slough have reached the top one per cent in the country for GCSE results improvement, figures have shown.
The school in Gloucester Avenue is also in the top five per cent of schools for 'value-added', according to RAISEonline, run by the Department for Education and Ofsted.
Value-added compares GCSE results with grades pupils got when starting school, measuring improvement across the five years in between.
Headteacher Deborah Ajose said: "This is a huge achievement, we're very proud of our girls.
"They've been ecstatic, cheering and clapping."
English, maths and science pupils at the school were in the top five per cent last year, but English and maths are now in the top three per cent while science is in the top one per cent.
Mrs Ajose added: "We've worked very hard for this but there is always room to improve further."
