A developer has been given permission to build three new townhouses in Ascot despite concerns by a householder that his privacy would be invaded.
Aquapark Developments Ltd has been given the green light to construct the homes at Heath Villas in Queens Place, off Ascot's High Street.
Members of the Royal Borough's Windsor rural development panel approved plans at a meeting held at Wraysbury Primary School last night.
As part of the project, an existing townhouse will be retained and developed and office space will be converted into three more townhouses.
Speaking at the meeting, objector Brian Smith, of Heath Villas, said: "It will be highly intrusive of our privacy, which we have enjoyed for more than 20 years."
But councillors agreed with planning officers' recommendation that he would get more privacy after the development takes place.
They attached conditions to it being built, such as good condition screening being put up around the site.
