Windsor 43, Aylesbury 28
Windsor claimed their biggest and most notable win of the season so far as Aylesbury were clinically put to the sword at Home Park.
Securing their third league win in four matches, improving Windsor ran in a series of tries to clock up a 43-28 victory.
For the first time this season, they passed the 40-point mark, and the victory lifts Andy Symons’ side eight points clear of the bottom two automatic relegation places – currently occupied by London Irish Wild Geese and Oxford Harlequins 2nds.
It also marks a rich vein of form for the side, with Symons’ men having now got the better of Aylesbury (43-28), Grasshoppers (27-21) and Oxford Harlequins (14-18) in less than a month.
This run of form has also given them an excellent chance of avoiding automatic relegation, having come up to the Regional 2 Thames Division last season behind Oxford Harlequins 2nds – who sit bottom of the table without a win to their name. In contrast, Windsor now have four.
The game also saw Windsor blood new talent, with Noah Sleigh and George Lucas coming in to make their first XV debuts. The game was followed by the club’s Christmas social and there was plenty to celebrate.
They round off 2025 with a tough looking trip to second placed Beaconsfield on Saturday (December 20).

Marlow 17, Beaconsfield 29
Having seen their recent form disrupted by league leaders Brunel University the previous week, Marlow were knocked back by another of the division’s pacesetters in Beaconsfield on Saturday.
Marlow were more competitive in Saturday’s 29-17 home defeat to the second placed side, and most of the damage was done by the visitors in the first half.
First half tries from Freddie Hooper, Barnaby Howells, Braiden Brougham and Rafe Sadleir gave the visitors a stranglehold on the contest they were never likely to relinquish. Trailing 21-7 at the break, the hosts fought valiantly for losing bonus points in the second half but came away from the clash at Riverwoods empty handed.
The result leaves them seventh in the table, five points behind Aylesbury in sixth heading into a couple of fixtures either side of the Christmas break they’ll want to win.
On Saturday they visit bottom of the table Oxford Harlequins, who’ve lost each of their 12 matches so far, while they resume their campaign at home to ninth placed Grasshoppers on Saturday, January 10.
