Model boats bobbed along a lake in Slough as the Black Park Model Boat Club held its annual regatta on Sunday.
Submarines and replica lifeboats were just some of the vessels on show as club members were joined by fellow model boat enthusiasts from across the South-east.
Fascinated children watched on as the owners navigated their boats around Black Park Lake in Black Park Road.
A host of prizes were on offer with the event raising more than £500 for Windsor-based charity Thames Hospice.
Alan Rix, 75, secretary of the Black Park Model Boat Club, had to navigate some treacherous weeds as he gave his bright yellow submarine a spin around the lake.
He told the Express: “There’s been so many youngsters enjoying the demonstrations and having a go at controlling the boats themselves.
“That’s what today is all about.”
The club meets every Thursday at Black Park. Visit www.blackparkmodelboatclub.org.uk for details.
