Nominations have opened for the Berkshire Football Awards for the 2019/20 season.
The awards night has been organised for the past three seasons by the Football in Berkshire (FIB) website, and, if able to on health and safety grounds, an awards night will take place on June 17, hosted by Sky Sports News presenter Tom White.
The aim of the awards is to give recognition to the achievements of players, managers, coaches, volunteers, administrators, supporters and social media account holders, while also drawing more attention to non league football and the grassroots game.
Last year there were more than 500 nominations for awards in 13 categories. This year there are 15 categories.
These are: Most Improved Ground, Supporter of the season, Volunteer of the Season, Best photo, Goal of the Season, Best website or Social Media presence, Best Isolation Engagement Campaign or Content, Outstanding contribution to local football, Manager of the Season, Referee of the Season, Young Player of the Season (Female), Young Player of the Season (Male), Player of the Season (Female), Player of the Season (Male),
The Darrell Freeland Award for service to the local game.
