2009: Chat show legend Sir Michael Parkinson officially opened the new Keycircle pharmacy store at the Symons Medical Centre.
The famous interviewer had been a loyal customer at the pharmacy in St Mark’s Crescent, which held the proud record of having opened every day for nine years – including Christmas Days.
Staff at the popular chemist moved up the road to set up in a new location in All Saints Avenue.
2009: All things farming were celebrated at the Berkshire College of Agriculture as it hosted its annual agricultural fun days.
About 10,000 visitors flocked to the college over the weekend to see falconry, horse and sheep-shearing displays, among a vast range of attractions.

Nelly Semaille opened Filling Good, giving shoppers the opportunity to fill their containers with loose products sold by weight.
First launched inside Craft Coop, Filling Good would go on to become a permanent shop on the High Street.
2019: Members of Maidenhead scout district congregated at Braywick Nature Centre to enjoy a host of outdoor activities to mark St George’s Day.
A total of 300 members walked from the town centre to the Hibbert Road venue to mark the annual date on the English calendar.
