Characters from Star Wars, DC, Marvel and many other pop culture comic books came to life for a Sunday of family fun in Maidenhead.
The town hosted its first Comic Con at Braywick Leisure Centre at the weekend.
Attractions included Star Wars Stormtroopers patrolling the event, an exact replica of the Batmobile from the Christian Bale films and a replica of the Ghostbusters car as well.
The event saw comic book fans of all ages, including a seven-month-old baby dressed up as Spider-Man, who won the costume competition.
Mark Woollard, director at organisers Striking Events, said: “It went really, really well.
“The public seemed to enjoy it and have a fantastic time.
"We had over 2,000 people throughout the day.
“Everyone just seemed to have a really good time and it was, it was nice to see.
“It was a nice family friendly atmosphere.
“We had a fantastic time running it as well.
“It was nice to be able to bring Comic Con to a new area and it was lovely to see that there really was a demand for it there.”
He added a ‘bigger and better’ event will be coming back to Maidenhead on Sunday, October 1.
The event also featured a range of exhibitors selling their goods.
They included Danny Hulse, who works in the advertising department at the Maidenhead Advertiser by day but has a side-line producing comic book-inspired artwork.
He said: “It was a vibrant and bubbly atmosphere with lots of people enjoying themselves and it was completely different from other events.
"Everyone just enjoyed themselves and everyone was just happy.
“For me personally, it was a massive success and I believe the other people doing the stalls were very committed and I believe they were very successful as well. It was just so much fun.”
