Alfie Kilgour was Maidenhead United's hero, sweeping home a last-gasp leveller as the Magpies came from behind to claim another much needed point in their battle to avoid the drop.
A game in which both sides looked jaded from their weekend exertions looked to have been decided when substitute Chike Kandi lashed a low shot through the legs of Carl Pentney with five minutes to play.
But in the fourth of five added minutes, Kilgour picked up the ball on the edge of the Daggers' area, held off a couple of challenges, before firing low beyond Elliott Justham.
Earlier in the half the Daggers had passed up a gilt edged chance to take the lead when Alexander McQueen rolled a 57th minute penalty wide of the mark.
Up until that moment a stalemate looked on the cards between two teams labouring to create chances in difficult conditions.
The Magpies had the better of the game's first half chances but in truth defences were on top for both teams.
On the half-hour Remy Clerima's bullet of a header from James Comley's corner was tipped over by Justham. A few minutes later, Josh Kelly - recalled to the starting line up in favour of James Akintunde - saw his diving header from an excellent Sam Nombe cross fly just over the crossbar.
Tom Adeloye went closest for the Daggers in the early stages with a shot that deflected off Rene Steer before arrowing past Pentney's post.
Ryan Upward and Comley probed for the Magpies but the Daggers sat deep and made life difficult for the home side. Upward came up with a moment of quality in the 54th minute but his teasing cross was glanced wide by Kelly.
The referee then pointed to the spot for a faintest of touches from Massey on Adeloye. It looked harsh decision and perhaps justice was done when McQueen rolled his penalty wide of the post having sent Pentney the wrong way.
The Daggers must have thought they'd stolen the points when Kandi held off Kilgour to score from an acute angle. But, having conceded their fair share of late goals at York Road this season the Magpies finally got one of their own through the excellent Kilgour. It was no less than they deserved after another hard-working display.
The result takes the Magpies to 41 points, six clear of fourth from bottom Havant & Waterlooville. On Saturday, ninth placed Sutton United - beaten 2-0 at Salford City this evening - are the visitors to York Road.
