Parrott and Darlington start up new player agency Braywick Talent

Myke Parrott is set to take up a new off the field role with Maidenhead RFC in the coming weeks, but he’s also set up a sideline business as a player agent.

Together with front-row forward Mark Darlington, the pair have established the Braywick Talent player agency after both gained their RFU agents licences.

The project is in its infancy but Parrott is hopeful it can take off in the coming months and years and believes it could become beneficial to both himself and Maidenhead RFC.

Last week Parrott announced that his body had taken enough punishment and that he was retiring as a player.

“I’ve launched a sideline business to be an RFU player agent,” he said last week.

“We’re just going to see how we get on. Mark Darlington, the hooker, is going to be doing it with me. We would love to do it full time.

“It would almost be our dream job.

“There are so many talented youngsters coming out of Maids and, even if we just looked after them, that wouldn’t be a bad place to start.

“There are a few Maids youngsters who we are just going to try and look after and look out for their best interests. We’ll see how we get on initially.

“We’re called Braywick Talent so we’ve named it after Maids of course. We’ve literally only just started.

“We’ve signed up a few lads and we’ll help them out with advice, see if we can get them decent contracts at Prem clubs and see where it takes us.

“There’s potential for it to really help Maids out, especially if we’ve got some good youngsters who need to go on loan somewhere. Well guess where we’re going to point them? We’ll point them to Maids for sure.”
