Let's Rock organisers remain tight-lipped over Cookham event's future

Organisers of the popular Let’s Rock the Moor festival in Cookham have remained tight-lipped about the future of the event in the village.

In October last year, the organisers of the 80s-themed Let's Rock music festivals around the country, shared a link for early-bird tickets for four new dates in 2024.

However, Cookham was not mentioned among the locations listed, prompting speculation from fans about the future of the Moor event, which has been running for 15 years.

Organisers later told the Advertiser that fans of the festival should ‘watch this space’ in relation to update on an event taking place in Cookham.

On the Let's Rock the Moor Facebook page, a message read: "We understand you are all very keen to know the schedule for the 2024 season and start to make your plans.

"At this time we do not have an announcement regarding The Moor. As soon as we have an announcement to make we will let you all know."

However, nearly three months on, no announcement has been made and the Let's Rock the Moor official Facebook page is no longer active.

A spokesman told the Advertiser this week that there was still no update on the future of the Cookham event.

The Let’s Rock the Moor website asks people to click on the link on its homepage which directs visitors to another website entitled Let’s Rock The Retro Festival.

The website currently lists Leeds, Exeter, Southampton and Shrewsbury among its 2024 locations for a festival, with Cookham not appearing.
