Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s chief executive said she is ‘delighted’ the trust has been shortlisted for a national award.
The trust has been shortlisted for the Trust of the Year accolade at the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.
The prestigious awards recognise accomplishments by the healthcare service.
Berkshire Healthcare provides specialist community health and mental health services to around 900,000 people in the county.
The trust operates from more than 100 sites across Berkshire, but the majority of people it cares for are supported within their own homes.
A total of 1,350 entries were receives across all categories.
Julian Emms, chief executive at Berkshire Healthcare, said: “We’re already recognised by the CQC as ‘Outstanding’ but it’s great to be acknowledged in this way, particularly in a year when the competition was so tough.”
The winners will be announced on Thursday, November 21.
