Maidenhead Rugby Football Club will have a new sponsors name on the front of their shirts this season — and it's one that many in the town will already know well.
Local accountancy and advisory firm Wilson Partners has been announced as the club’s new Principal Partner, marking a new chapter in the firm’s continued investment in community sport.
The partnership builds on the legacy of Craufurd Hale, the club’s previous long-time sponsor, which was recently acquired by Wilson Partners as part of its ongoing national growth strategy. Rather than stepping back, the firm has chosen to build on their commitment to Maidenhead RFC and grassroots rugby
“We’re proud to support a club that plays such a central role in our local community,” said Allan Wilson, Managing Director of Wilson Partners. “At Wilson Partners, we’ve always believed in using our platform to do more — whether that’s helping businesses grow or giving back through partnerships that have a genuine, positive impact.”
The move further cements Wilson Partners’ reputation as a proactive supporter of local sport and wellbeing initiatives. The firm is also a sponsor of Maidenhead United Football Club and works closely with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a national mental health charity tackling suicide and promoting mental wellbeing.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Wilson Partners as our new main sponsor. Their reputation for excellence, ambition, and commitment to the local community aligns perfectly with our values as a club. It’s fantastic to see them continuing the legacy of Craufurd Hale and investing in the future of grassroots rugby here in Maidenhead. We look forward to a successful and exciting partnership both on and off the field.” Stephen Bough, Chairman Maidenhead RFC.
The Wilson Partners logo will now take pride of place on club kit, signage, and around the pitch — a visible sign of its support for a club that plays a vital role in the life of the town, both on and off the field.
The players will be looking to wear their new kit with distinction when they take to the field against Hammersmith & Fulham at Braywick Park on Saturday. Maids season got off to an uncertain start as they were beaten 67-0 by CS Stags at the weekend.
Founded in Maidenhead in 2008, Wilson Partners has grown from a local start-up into a national advisory group supporting SMEs across the UK. With the help of investment in 2021, the firm has rapidly scaled, acquiring eight businesses and expanding into seven UK locations and South Africa — all while maintaining its HQ in Maidenhead.
