To mark Remembrance weekend, Maidenhead United are offering free family tickets to Saturday’s home game with FC Halifax Town to those who are helping the local community.

United will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the National League – off the back of a very creditable display in Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to League 1 Oxford United.

And they’re hoping to boost the attendance and support for the Magpies by allowing families that support the community to watch the game for free.

Free family tickets are available to be pre-purchased online by those that are involved in the following sectors: NHS staff; Emergency Services; Armed Forces; Charity staff and volunteers; Teaching staff; Social workers; Carers.

The fixture is the club’s designated Remembrance match, commemorating those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. A minute’s silence will be held in their memory before kick-off.

The offer is only available online and won’t be available on the turnstile of the day of the game.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.maidenheadunitedfc.org by calling 01628 636314 or by emailing social@maidenheadunitedfc.org – those eligible should use the password ‘UNITEDASONE’

The game takes place on Saturday, November 11, 3pm kick-off. Halifax come to York Road as one of the league’s promotion challengers. They currently sit sixth in the table having won four of their last five league matches.

Maidenhead are 21st after their recent home win over Eastleigh, level on points with AFC Fylde just above them in the table and just a point behind 19th placed Ebbsfleet United.

Mr Singh Curry King will once again be serving food from Tea Bar 2. They are offering pre order, in ground and takeaway sales to all supporters.
