Visitors to Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst will get the chance to travel back in time and enjoy some medieval jousting in September.
The new event will feature a host of treats including medieval jousting on horses, a bird of prey display flight with an opportunity to handle birds, and a food market.
The two-day event will take place on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14 and will run from 10am to 4.30pm.
In collaboration with the Knights of Middle England in Warwickshire, a team of expert horsemen and women from a range of equestrian, performing and stunt backgrounds, will transform the field into a show-stopping medieval jousting display.
Berkshire Birds of Prey will also be attending the event.
Birds taking part in the flying display will include a harris hawk, a barn owl named Bella, a long-eared owl called Stitch, kesterel Noddy, tawny owl Pumba and western screech owl Fagin.
If the winds are too strong, the display flight will not take place.
As part of the event, visitors will also get the chance to handle birds of prey.
There will be plenty of food and drink to enjoy, including a barbecue by JL Butchers and drinks from The Rollin Inn Bar, The Happy Bee Coffee Truck and more.
Cllr Mark Ashwell, executive member for economic development, sport, leisure and the arts, said: “It’s set to be an unforgettable weekend of excitement, action and culture at our first Medieval Jousting event.
“This event is suitable for people of all ages and will be a great day out.
