Jagsit Dhillon (4-17) and Jake Stokes (6-35) shared the wickets around as Pinkneys Green bowled out Knotty Green for just 78 runs in Saturday’s three-wicket win.
Dhillon tore up the top order, removing Ashish Patel for one, Thomas Patel for 14 and Jonathan Patel for 16. Mike Widdowsdon and Vishal Patel were both removed for nought as the visitors collapsed for a paltry total.
The run chase for Pinkneys Green should have been a formality, but it was not without incident. Seven wickets fell before they got to their target in the 22nd over.
Uday Tikoo made 18 before falling to Widdowsdon (3-31) and Sheyan Patel put on 12 before Thomas Patel took his wicket. Steve Curlewis (4) and Jack Stemp (0) departed cheaply before Dhillon (24no) steered the hosts back on course. Further wickets fell but Green had wickets and overs in hand when as they got home for victory in the 22nd over.
This Saturday Green are at home to Downley.
