A rising star at Boyne Hill Cricket Club is the first to be honoured under a new scheme in memory of a Maidenhead Rotarian.

In an effort to further inspire the sporting stars of tomorrow, Claires Court School is in the process of applying to build new cricket facilities at the school’s Ridgeway site.

The cricket season may be coming to a close but Women of Marlow CC, a cooperative initiative between Marlow CC, Marlow Park CC and Future Legends, took part in their first competitive clash last weekend.

The annual fixture between Hampton Hill and Hurley resulted in a 51-run win for the visitors, despite several of their number being stuck in traffic as the game got underway.

Plans have been lodged with the Royal Borough to create new cricket facilities at Claires Court’s Ridgeway site.
