A Maidenhead-based charity providing free and inclusive leisure opportunities for families of children and young people with additional needs has been shortlisted for a second national award.
Absolutely Together, in Stafferton Way, has been named in the Best Service Delivery Innovation category at the Third Sector Awards 2025.
The announcement comes just shortly after the charity was named as a finalist in the Charity of the Year category at the Charity Times Awards 2025.
The charity supports families across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, and provides free access to adapted leisure activities, all designed to provide shared experiences for children with additional needs and their siblings and parents.
In the past year, the charity has delivered more than 50,000 smiles through inclusive go-karting and theatre trips, gym sessions and climbing experiences.
The Third Sector Awards celebrate outstanding work in the charity sector.
Absolutely Together has been recognised for its ‘dedication to service delivery and the strong partnerships it has developed’ with leisure providers and schools.
David Brind, community development director at Absolutely Together, said: “To be announced as a finalist twice in one month is testament to the positive impact we are having on the families we work with.
“Our focus has always been on providing inclusive experiences that remove barriers, reduce social isolation, relieve financial pressure and create joyful memories for families who are often excluded from mainstream leisure activities.”
The winners of the Third Sector Awards will be announced on Friday, September 12.
The Charity Times Awards will take place on Thursday, September 25.
