The Royal Borough’s cabinet is set to make a decision on the future of York House in Windsor tonight (Thursday).
A feasibility study on the site in Sheet Street concluded that it is not viable to demolish the council building.
Instead, it states its use could be ‘maximised by extending and refurbishing the existing building, including the potential of a purpose built wing for Thames Valley Police’.
The recommendation to the panel is for a planning application to be prepared to deliver this and a report to be bought back to cabinet before plans are formally submitted.
The meeting is due to take place at Maidenhead Town Hall at 7.30pm.
