Director and choreographer Natalie Hayllor, wow! Musical director, Anton Gwilt, wow! Micheal Brenkley, Lighting designer, wow! Set designer, Duncan Bruce, wow! Luke Robinson as Joseph, wow! Emily Burton as The Narrator, wow! The rest of the entire cast, the dancers, the youth cast and children’s ensemble, the musicians, the backstage crew! Wow!

I hope this enthusiasm shows how much I enjoyed this production of this classic Sirs Rice and Lloyd Webber’s musical, that I have known about for years but never seen until now, and if this faultless production is anything to go by, then I now realise why it is so popular.

Before seeing this show, my knowledge was very much based on the ‘Any Dream Will Do’ song, but I now realise this clever biblical adaption is so much more than that.

On a stage as creative, colourful and exciting as Joseph’s famed attire, this non-stop musical was an eclectic song and dance delight, and EBOS Musical Theatre continue to showcase the amazing talent this prolific and long-standing local company has both on stage and off.

As already exclaimed, the entire cast were exceptional and the vocal talent was more West End then East Berkshire, and the dancing, for me, outshined anything that currently claims to be ‘Strictly’.

As my companion on the night said as we left the Wilde Theatre on a high, ‘Everyone stepped up to the mark and no one put a foot wrong.'

So, what’s more to say other than, EBOS Musical Theatre, WOW!

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be showing at South Hill Park until Sunday, November 10.
