Each year since our son died in 2002 we have placed flowers on his grave at Braywick Cemetery to mark his birthday and the anniversary of his death.
We did this recently for his birthday and, because the flowers were fresh, I went back two days after to water both the flowers and a plant which had been left by a friend of the family.
To my horror, I discovered that both the flowers and the plant had been stolen from his grave leaving behind the messages we had written with our thoughts about him.
We are extremely upset by this and at a loss to understand how anyone could stoop so low as to steal from a cemetery.
I have informed the police but do not hold out any hope of finding the culprits.
