Norden Farm is inviting residents for an afternoon of fun to round off the summer holidays.
On Sunday (September 1) on Punt Hill in Boyn Grove Park, Norden Farm’s annual Kite Festival will take place with fun for all ages.
Taking place between 12pm and 4pm, the event will offer free entry to visitors.
As well as being able to fly kites decorated over the summer, there will be live music, food vendors and more kite-making workshops for those who have missed it
A bar will also serve soft drinks and beer from Marlow-based Rebellion Brewery.
This year’s live performance headliner is Levantes Dance Theatre who present High Tea (with a Twist).
Dressed to impress, the Canape Art twins will perform dance and acrobatics above a tastefully laid tea table.
They will also mingle with the crowd, giving opportunities for selfies and a cuppa.
Visitors will find glittery cakes, outrageous costumes and theatrical high jinx in an explosion of colour and silliness.
You’ll also be able to see Mariachi las Adelitas, the only female Mariachi band in Europe.
Formed in London in 2013, the band was formed to shatter stereotypes within the traditionally male-dominated genre.
The seven-piece band is from all over the world including, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Italy and the UK.
Local band Euphoria will be performing their high-energy rock and indie covers.
They’ve performed at The Camden Assembly, FiFest, Rock the Rec and The Long Walk in Windsor for the Platinum Jubilee and the King’s Coronation Community Concert.
Finally, there will be storytelling from National Poetry Day ambassador and children’s acclaimed poet Simon Mole.
Simon writes books, makes shows and runs workshops for children and families.
Attendees are reminded to bring a picnic blanket or camping chairs for an 'unmissable' afternoon of entertainment.
Tickets are available at https://norden.farm/events/kite-festival-50
