An acclaimed children’s poet and a TikTok sensation are bringing their roaring success of a dino show to Norden Farm next month.

The Great Big Dinosaur Show gives young dino fans a joyful blast of interactive live entertainment with poems, raps and songs about lovable prehistoric protagonists.

Author Simon Mole and the singer-storyteller Gecko are working together to bring to life this story inspired by Mole’s fourth book, called A First Book of Dinosaurs.

Youngsters will learn the answers to such questions as: which dinosaur menaced the seas instead of the land? Which dinosaur was barely the size of a dog? Which made a noise like a goat playing a didgeridoo? And what is a chicken doing in the show?

Audiences young and old have been enjoying this blast from the past – and have found themselves ‘cackling all the way through.’

Simon Mole said: “I am absolutely buzzing to be bringing this show back to Norden Farm. As a Maidenhead resident, this is my local venue and it’s always exciting to play a hometown show – I hope my own kids remember to come.”

The Great Big Dinosaur Show will be at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Altwood Road on Wednesday May 28 for two performances – one at 11.30am and one at 2pm.

The show lasts for about 50 minutes with no interval and is ideal for children aged four to 11.
