Train delays until afternoon due to broken rail between Slough and Reading

Elizabeth line and Great Western Railway services between Reading and London Paddington will experience delays until this afternoon. 

This is due to a broken rail between Reading and Slough which means trains have to run at a reduced speed on some lines.

As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 13:30.

To assist with Elizabeth line journeys, customers may use their ticket on Great Western Railway services between Reading and London Paddington.

Stopping services between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will only operate between Reading and Didcot Parkway
Services between Newbury and London Paddington will only operate between Newbury and Reading

Customers may use their GWR tickets onboard Elizabeth line services between Reading and London Paddington at no additional cost.
