The forecast looks bright for this year’s Bray Fete with ITV weather girl Laura Tobin returning to get the party started.
A child-sized railway is scheduled to be on the list of entertaining treats, as well as the usual stalls, barbecue, beer tent, bouncy castle, Punch & Judy show, and performances from the Maidenhead Concert Band.
"We are nearly ready and looking forward to another successful year," said Jim Tucker, member of the fete committee and church warden for St Michael’s Church.
Hundreds of families are expected to turn up at the annual event, and Jim hopes the fete will match last year’s £4,000 donation that will once again go to the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service.
Parking will be in the Jubilee Field in Bray where marshals will be on hand to direct traffic.
The fun will kick off on the village green opposite Maidenhead and Bray Cricket Club at 1pm on Sunday, September 7.
