An independent brewery has opened beneath the railway arches near Windsor and Eton Central Station.
Work has been ongoing to revitalise five previously empty arches following a £500,000 investment by the Arch Company last year.
Two Flints Brewery has moved into one of the vacant spaces and craft-beer lovers can try out an array of different drops at the watering hole.
The venue features a taproom with 12 lines of draft beer and a mezzanine floor which overlooks the brewery.
Founder Alex Kerr said: “It’s such a central location, we are literally underneath Windsor and Eton Central Station.
“To have a building with so much history and character sit empty for so long seemed like a massive waste. To be able to use it is amazing.”
Alex, 34, fell in love with brewing while living in Singapore in 2017 and eventually decided to switch careers and pursue his passion professionally.
He returned to the UK in 2020 and secured a diploma in brewing before launching Two Flints Brewery last year.
The Windsor venue describes itself as a ‘modern focused craft brewery’ inspired by the taproom model which has proved so popular in the United States.
Drinks on offer will include hazy pale ales and hazy IPAs as well as craft lagers inspired by the Czech Republic and Germany.
A selection of canned beer will also be available with plans in place to offer home delivery.
Alex added: “We try and make it a space that welcomes all.
“We’re dog friendly, have high chairs for babies and we also serve a lot of other drinks outside of beer.”
In January the venue will be open on Fridays and Saturdays but Alex hopes to extend the opening hours as the weather improves.
