Charities and organisations turn out for fourth Windsor Community Day

Thames Valley Police and Windsor Library hosted its fourth Windsor Community Day at the weekend.

Bachelors Acre was transformed into a hub of stalls and live music with residents being given a chance to find out more about the charities and organisations that operate in the town.

The Windsor Street Angels, Windsor Homeless Project and the Royal Borough’s Community Wardens all attended to tell people more about their work.

Staff from Windsor Library also read stories and gave out information about their new resident hub which will give people the chance to seek advice on issues including housing and council tax.

PCSO David Bullock, who covers the Windsor Central neighbourhood, said: “Today is an opportunity for everyone to find out about the charities and organisations in their town.

“Windsor and Eton is a very special place, people know each other and want to help each other out and we want to encourage more to get involved.”
