Slough Town have confirmed the immediate departures of players Peter Ojemen and Ansu Janneh, with player boss Scott Davies calling them ‘absolute diamonds’.
Ojemen joined the club in May and went on to make 26 appearances for the Rebels this season, scoring three goals, including crucial late strikes against Enfield Town and AFC Totton.
Janneh joined in November 2025 and had an immediate impact after scoring in the club’s FA Cup first round victory over Altrincham, having only been introduced as a first half substitute.
Janneh went on to make 12 appearances for the club, scoring twice.
The club has thanked both for their efforts and commitment during their time at the club.
Manager Scott Davies said: “Firstly, I’d like to thank both Peter and Ansu for their efforts during their time with us.
“When called upon they’ve both performed very well, but with the size of the squad increasing and game time becoming less, we felt as though it was the right time for them to move on and find game time elsewhere.
“We’ve shared some great moments together and as a club we thank them for what they’ve given us.
“Wishing you all the best in the next chapters of your careers."
Both players have found their first team opportunities more limited in recent weeks with competition for places having intensified with the arrival of further new additions.
Those include Jacob Borgnis and Basil Tuma who have joined on loan from Reading FC. Both had their loan deals extended this week, with Bourgnis set to remain at Arbour Park until the end of the season and Tuma to remain a Rebel until March 17. The club has thanked Reading FC for its cooperation and support.
The Rebels will travel to Chippenham Town this evening for their first away clash of 2026.
The match was originally scheduled for Saturday but was called off due to a frozen pitch at the Thornbury Surfacing Stadium.
Chippenham are struggling at the foot of the table, although are unbeaten in their last three matches, claiming creditable draws away to AFC Totton and Worthing off the back of a home win over Bath City. They’re still eight points from safety but have not yet given up on their survival chances it seems.
Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance or on the gate with cash and card payments accepted at the turnstile. Ticket prices are Adult: £17.00; Concession (OAPs, Students, NHS & Armed Forces with valid ID): £13.00; Juniors (16–17): £6.00; Children (5–15): £4.00.
The Rebels will be hoping to register their fourth straight league win after consecutive victories over Maidenhead United, Chesham United and Eastbourne Borough. Those results have lifted them to 18th in the table, four points above the drop zone.
