Maidenhead United have confirmed that central defender Will de Havilland will be staying with the club next season in the National League South.
United are yet to release their end of season retained list - five weeks on from their final game of the season - as they seek to persuade certain players to stay with the team next season.
Chairman Peter Griffin said they were still in negotiations with a few players they’d ideally like to keep hold of and that the retained list would be released after that.
However, supporters are growing impatient to see which players from last season’s relegated squad will be sticking around to help with the club’s goal of pushing for promotion from the National League South next season.
De Havilland had suggested after the Magpies’ final game of the season at home to Boston United that he was committed to staying and that’s now been confirmed.
The experienced defender should help give the Magpies a solid platform from which to build.

The Magpies should also have a few more signings to announce this week after agreeing deals to bring Jordan Ragguette and Asher Yearwood to York Road.
Speaking on the final day of the season, after the Magpies had been relegated despite their 3-0 win over Boston United, de Havilland said: “Definitely, we’re going to be fighting to get back in the National League.
“I think the club deserves to be in this league. We’ll give it a good go next year and hopefully we’ll pick up enough points to get the job done and get us back in this league.
“Yeah, the fans have always been unbelievable since I’ve been here. They’re the best set of fans that I’ve played under. They’re always positive, cheering the team on.
“There are no toxic fans. Even though we’ve been relegated, they’ve stuck with us right to the end.
“Hopefully they’ll be there to do that next year as well because we’re going to need the same support next year. We want to give them something to cheer about.”
