Police officers are in Maidenhead today (Wednesday) to issue security and crime prevention tips ahead of the clocks going back on Sunday.
Thames Valley Police will give out advice to help combat burglaries during the darker winter months.
The force will be at Maidenhead Retail Park in Stafferton Way between noon and 2pm. A stall will be set up to promote security for homes, cars, bicycles and gardens, along with pet microchipping.
Community wardens will also be on hand for free property marking.
Detective inspector Pete Wall said: “We work closely with our partners to ensure residents have the information to hand to help protect themselves from becoming victims of burglary this winter.
“We work hard to reduce burglaries in people’s homes and to stop those who choose to commit them, taking action to prosecute anyone found guilty of these crimes.”
