Windsor shopping centre gets a rebrand

Windsor shopping centre is undergoing an 'ambitious' regeneration and will now be known by a new name.

The royal town celebrates the integration of Windsor Yards and Windsor Royal Station Shopping Centres as one new offering at a special ‘Embrace Windsor’ event this weekend.

The all-new Windsor Royal site will see the creation of a new multi-screen cinema, hotel, office space, homes, and an enhanced public realm, as part of the ambitious regeneration project.

A Windsor Royal spokesperson said: “With Windsor Royal Station and Windsor Yards both now under the same ownership, the two premier shopping centres in the heart of historic Windsor are being integrated into one under the banner Windsor Royal.

“We hope this celebration to mark the official launch of Windsor Royal will be enjoyed by a whole mix of people as we all come together to Embrace Windsor.

“We have a highly attractive environment for retailers plus a fantastic range of restaurants, cafes, and bars in Windsor.

“Our unique tenant mix appeals to locals and visitors to this historic town alike. Windsor Royal captures the essence of our brand and references the listed credentials of many of the heritage buildings within the scheme.

“We look forward to building upon this both with the community of Windsor and the surrounding area.”

Free entertainment, games, crafts and activities, pop-ups, food sampling and lots more will be offered throughout the shopping centre from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 25 and Sunday, 26 May.

The weekend lineup includes live music and dance, giant games, balloon modelling, comic book characters, children’s entertainment, arts and crafts, food and drinks samples and workshops, a candyfloss tricycle, a magazine selfie box, local business promotions and competitions.

Windsor Royal features a unique mix of leading brands including Jigsaw, Hobbs, Space NK Apothecary, Molton Brown, Five Guys, The White Company, Waitrose, Zara, and Mango, plus independent businesses such as Heidi, Cinnamon Café, Martyn Crossley, Anthony Paul Jewellery, and A Dog’s Life Co.

The flagship of the long-established and family-owned Daniel Department Store chain also sits alongside the scheme.

A website has also been launched to complement the brand and more information is available at www.windsorroyal.co.uk
