The summer holidays may be coming to a close but the fun can continue a little longer for keen water lovers at Hurst’s Dinton Pastures.
Boat hire services will still be available into the first week of September (1-4) and on every weekend throughout the rest of the month.
Families and individuals can enjoy paddleboards, canoes, pedalos and single and double kayaks. Fees are £8 and hire time is 30 minutes.
Children between the ages of two and eight can take to the waters but must be accompanied by an adult and be present in the same boat.
Safety equipment must be worn and trained facilitators at Dinton’s Activity Centre will provide and assist with fitting.
There are 94 acres of lake which are open every year between the months of April and October, 11am-5pm each day during school holidays and weekends.
The Sandford Lane facility will soon celebrate its first anniversary.
Built in September 2021, the £2.4million development replaced a much smaller centre and is Wokingham Borough Council’s first carbon net-zero carbon building.
Users of the lake can access the changing facilities and coffee shop which has a terrace overlooking the water.
