REVIEW: Classic Ibiza at Windsor Racecourse

Sun, Cider and Classic Ibiza tunes. What more could you ask for?

Perhaps some lager, lager, lager, lager ?

On Friday 3rd of August, We Pop hosted their open air Classic Ibiza event “Summertime Live” at Windsor Racecourse.

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was great and The Urban Soul Orchestra was in top form. Urban Soul are a contemporary and versatile string ensemble offering a unique twist, incorporating percussion, bass, drums, DJ and vocals.

Conducted by Stephen Hussey, the classic twist worked really well and complimented the much loved Ministry of Sound hits, with the help of 3D style lighting, confetti cannon and smoke machines.

The highlight of the evening though had to be the tribute to the late Avicii, which was greatly welcomed by the large crowd, estimated to be around 2,600 people.

It was a great turn out with people of all ages attending including children, who were seen raving to the music with their parents and enjoying the fun fair rides.

As well as rides, there were various food and drink stalls, a chill out area with bean bags to enjoy the chill out set, and plenty of space to either sit and eat or jump around like a mad person. A perfect summer event!

Due to the huge success last Friday, We Pop will be will looking at the Urban Soul Orchestra returning for another show next year.

In the mean time however, you can download (Urban Soul Orchestra Classic Ibiza) on Itunes, Amazon and Spotify or visit www.summertimelive.co.uk for news on upcoming events.
