A TEENAGER amateur boxer become NABC champion of England in Birmingham on Friday. Sam Frankham, 15, who attends Wargrave Piggott School, beat his Italian opponent on points after three rounds. He now hopes to compete in the ABA junior championships.

It is not every day that three brothers have a birthday on the same day but Simon, Steven and Shaun Hill, the sons of Mr and Mrs J Hill, of 14 The Cottage, Park Place Farm, Remenham, have the unusual distinction of being born within 55 minutes of each other. They were born at Battle Hospital, Reading, on March 12.

An analysis of the recent headlight alignment campaign carried out by the Henley borough road safety committee was presented to the quarterly meeting on Wednesday. Of 176 cars voluntarily presented for the free tests, only 17 were found to have the headlights correctly aligned. Forty-two had one headlight correct and 114 had two headlights incorrect and three cars had all four lights misaligned.
