A points failure at Slough means that some lines are blocked, and fewer trains can run on the line towards London Paddington.
Great Western Railway services between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway via Reading may start from Reading.
GWR will not serve Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.
Customers for intermediate stations can use Elizabeth line services, while those who need to travel to London Paddington can catch any non-stop train.
GWR services between London Paddington and Reading may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes, or revised.
Disruption is expected until 2.30pm.
Maidenhead to Abbey Wood services will only operate to the London Paddington Elizabeth line station in both directions.
Reading services will call additionally at Iver in both directions.
Passengers can use their ticket at no extra cost on the Elizabeth line via any reasonable route until further notice.
