Update, 3.40pm: Two lanes remain closed on the M4 eastbound between J8 (High Wycombe) and J7 (Slough) due to a collision.
There is around five miles of congestion on approach, which is causing about an hour delay.
Two vehicles have been involved in crash on the M4 eastbound near Slough this afternoon (March 28).
An ambulance has been spotted at the scene, between Junction 8/9 (Maidenhead) and Junction 7 (Slough West) , as well as a damaged van and 4x4 car.
Journey planning websites confirm that two lanes are closed and there is queueing traffic due to the crash, eastbound between J8/9 A404 / A308 (Maidenhead) and J7 (Slough West).
Also listed are delays of eight minutes on M4 eastbound between J10 A329(M) (Wokingham/Bracknell) and J7 (Slough West), first reported at just before 2pm today (March 28).
The average speed of the traffic is 15 mph.
