A burglar who broke into a house in Taplow left empty handed after being disturbed by his victim yesterday afternoon.
The break-in took place between 4.25pm and 4.35pm in Nursery Road, when the burglar broke into the house by kicking the lower portion of a rear stable door.
They then went into the first floor master bedroom at the front of the house and switched on the light and started searching.
The victim, a 61-year-old man, then came home and disturbed the burglar, who fled the house via the rear door into the garden. Nothing was taken.
The burglar is described as wearing black and possibly a hooded top.
Investigating officer, PC Paul Bridgeworth of Taplow Local CID, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Taplow area at this time. Anyone who has any information should get in touch with the Thames Valley enquiry centre on 101."
